However, foods like salads take time and effort to prepare. And even if you buy these foods on-the-go, the fact that they're more expensive than less healthy options means they can quickly burn through your wallet. If your New Year's resolutions are to save money and lose weight, what are you to do?
Fortunately, Makati has just the thing — or rather, six things — for you. In this post, we've put together some of the best Makati spots to grab a salad and other healthy treats without blowing your Php1,000 budget. Ready to hear more about them? Here we go.

Although the café is a bit on the small side, it makes up for it with offerings that fill up your tummy without draining your wallet. If you want a healthy take on your favorite fast food, try their 85 Burger (which can be "regular" or "spicy") and sausage sandwiches. You can also dive right into Healthville with their salads and matcha snow bubble tea. By the way, we did a review on Café 85˚, so be sure to read that for more details!

Think vegan food is bland and bleh? Green Bar will make you think again. Their sandwiches and Build-a-Bowl dishes are so rich and flavorful, you'll forget you're eating at a vegan resto. After a single trip to this joint, you'll think twice about stacking your fridge with fatty, unhealthy foods!

Behind Cancio Furnitures is Live Life, a vegetarian restaurant that's been around since 2013. Even if you're a meat lover, their offerings (like the Zucchini Teriyaki, the Vegetable Paella, and Chili con Tofu) are still worth a try, since they're as scrumptious as they are nutritious. Plus, the owner Sylvia Cancio is a certified nutritionist, so you can be sure you're getting your money's worth from every bite.

Of all the options so far, this is the most affordable. For Php500, you can already have one salad, one smoothie, one soup, one snack, and one drink of your choice. It's a bit hard to find, though, as you have to climb up the Dela Rosa walkway, which stretches between Greenbelt until Rufino (Herrera) St. There's a pretty good view of the hidden side of the CBD from Go! Salads, so enjoy while you're at it.
Eating healthy in Makati doesn't have to be expensive. If you keep an eye out for health-conscious restaurants when you travel the city's roads, you're bound to find gems like the ones already listed here. Know of others that deserve inclusion on this list? Share them in the comments below!
