Only one week to go before Valentine's! Got something planned for your Significant Other (S.O.) yet? If no (or even if yes!), we've compiled a few ideas to ramp up the romance in Metro Manila. Take your pick from:

FringeMNL 2017 Opening Party

Date: February 8, 2017
Time: 6:00 P.M. – 11:55 P.M.
Venue: Pineapple Lab, 6071 R. Palma St., Barangay Poblacion, Makati City

Starting this Wednesday, FringeMNL's month-long arts festival will kick off. Join fellow party lovers for cocktails and on-the-spot performances, or watch the unveiling of the Fringe Club rooftop. "Like" the FringeMNL Facebook page for more info, or e-mail the organizers at hello@fringemanila.com to get the latest updates.

Snapshot Japan

Time: 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Venue: Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Plaza, Gil Puyat cor. Ayala Ave., Makati City

If you're planning a Japan-themed Valentine's, why not drop by this mini-fair first? At Snapshot Japan, you can browse cuisines, cosmetics, apparel, and accessories that reflect Nihon's unique mix of traditional and contemporary culture. Entrance is free, and you can find out more via Yuchengo Museum's website, or by tracking the hashtag #SnapshotJapan on social media.

Looking at Japan: Artist's Talk with Naoko Tosa

Date: February 11, 2017
Time: 2:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.
Venue: Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Plaza, Gil Puyat cor. Ayala Ave., Makati City

In conjunction with the fair above, Naoko Tosa — a world-renowned media artist — will host a talk, also at the Yuchengco Museum. The talk will cover insights on the creative process, the ways in which art can be used to bridge technology and tradition, and other related topics. Reserve your slot for the artist's talk by e-mailing info@yuchengcomuseum.org, or paying the museum entrance fee of Php100 for adults and Php50 for students and seniors.

Travel Tour Expo

Date: February 10 – 12, 2017
Time: 10:00 A.M.
Venue: SMX Convention Center, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City

Missed out on the latest travel deals? Catch them this time around at SM MoA's Travel Tour Expo. For an entrance fee of Php60, you can get a chance to win a special trip abroad with your S.O. Just be sure to get there ASAP, because the lines can stretch as long as the Amazon River!

The Art of Dairy: A Hands-On Workshop With Chef Christa Mendiola

Those who want to prepare a sumptuous cheese dish for Valentine's need not look further. Chef Christa Mendiola will teach you the basics of making cheese from milk, even if you're completely new to cooking. Sign up for the workshop by calling (+63 2) 400-5425, (+63 2) 400-7405, or 230-5100 (local 2361). Don't forget to look for Raffy, Lynn, or Melbourne respectively.

9th Pop-Up Garage Sale

Date: February 11, 2017
Time: 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Ignite Your Frozen Heart

Time: 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Venue: 121 Bar & Grille, 2/F Alegro Center, 2284 Pasong Tamo Ext., Makati City

Think League of Legends and maid cafés don't mix? Runeterra Café will convince you otherwise. If you're one of the first 100 customers to attend the event, you can get a special baller for an entrance fee of only Php100. Get more details and updates on the event via Facebook.

Love and Gravity Book Signing

Date: February 11, 2017
Time: 3:00 P.M.
Venue: National Bookstore Glorietta 1, 2/F Glorietta 1, South Drive, Ayala Center, Makati City

As evidenced by the runaway success of the anime movie Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name), love stories that (literally) transcend time and space have always had their appeal. Samantha Sotto's book Love and Gravity  runs along the same veins: It tells of Isaac Newton — yes, that Isaac Newton — and his love for a girl in modern-day San Francisco. You can buy a copy of the book off Amazon, or just attend the signing and know what the fuss is all about!

8th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

Date: February 11, 2017 – March 18, 2017
Time: 4:00 P.M – 10:00 P.M.
Venue: SM Mall of Asia (MoA) Grounds, Pasay City

What better way to close your Valentine's evening than with a fireworks display? At SM Mall of Asia, you can watch pyrotechnic companies around the country battle for the title of "Best Looking Fireworks Display." (Okay, we made that up, but you get the drift.) Also, there'll be performances by your favorite bands, plus free snacks, so don't forget to grab your tickets and find out more via PyroPhilippines' Facebook page.

A Pre-Valentine Warm-Up feat. Sweater Beats USA

Date: February 11, 2017
Time: 10:00 P.M. – 4:00 A.M.
Venue: Black Market Bar, Warehouse 5, La Fuerza Compound 2, Sabio St., Makati City

If you still have the time and energy, you can extend your Valentine's weekend by partying with Sweater Beats from the USA. Inspired by Pharrell and Timbaland, Sweater Beats has been cranking out hit singles like "Mlln Dllr." To know more about Sweater Beats, follow him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and SoundCloud.
